These designations reward teachers for their exceptional instructional impact and student growth, providing them with additional compensation while ensuring they remain in the classroom to continue making a difference.

Hitchcock ISD was proudly represented at the Inaugural Business, Leadership & Urban Excellence (B.L.U.E.) Awards Gala, a prestigious event honoring individuals who exemplify leadership, service, and excellence within the community. Hosted by Dedrick Johnson Productions in partnership with B.L.U.E. Inc., the gala celebrated African American professionals, educators, and community leaders who have made a significant impact.
Among the honorees were two Hitchcock ISD standouts:
- Coach Jordan, recipient of the 2025 Trailblazer Award, recognized for his outstanding contributions to youth development and leadership.
- Deidre Holmes, nominated for the Educator of Excellence Award, a testament to her unwavering dedication to academic achievement and student success.
