Hitchcock ISD will break ground September 25, 2023 on its new CTE and Fine Arts Building, among other projects at Hitchcock High School. The groundbreaking ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m near the construction site. The public is invited to attend.

The Board of Trustees and Superintendent Travis Edwards, will lead the groundbreaking ceremony.

As part of the May 7, 2022 Bond Election, Hitchcock ISD has entrusted Joiner Architects and BTC Builds with the construction of a brand-new CTE and Fine Arts Building, along with a cafeteria, culinary, and classroom expansion and additional parking lot at Hitchcock High School. The CTE and Fine Arts Building will house space for welding, agriculture, robotics, engineering, band, theater and more. Additionally, the building will be the home of a black box theater.

“We could not be more excited about finally breaking ground on our projects at Hitchcock High School,” said Superintendent Travis Edwards. “With our student population growing more than ever, we knew how important it was to provide our students and staff with more room to thrive. We always say ‘What starts here can change the world’, and we are grateful to our community for voting YES to us providing the foundation for our students to do just that.”
